While initially scheduled in 2024, mandatory e-invoicing was postponed to a later date a few months before the deadline became effective. The Polish Ministry of Finance indeed stated that “critical errors have been detected that prevent safe implementation of the system in 2024”.
Several public consultations and workshops then ensued, first leading at the end of March to announcements aimed at simplifying the transition to the KSeF platform for companies & taxpayers countrywide.
At last, during a press conference on April 26, Minister of Finance Andrzej Domański revealed two new deadlines in 2026 for the start of mandatory e-invoicing in Poland:
- February 1, 2026: B2G & B2B e-invoicing becomes mandatory for companies with an annual turnover over 200M PLN (~46M €)
- April 1, 2026: B2G & B2B e-invoicing mandatory for all companies
Undoubtedly, Polish companies will welcome this delay, as it provides them with ample time to organize themselves and implement e-invoicing solutions.
